1. Introduction

LE ONLY (“LE ONLY,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you visit our website, create an account, or use the LE ONLY platform and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: Name, email address, phone number, password, and role (member or customer).
  • Member profile information: Retired law enforcement status, department or agency history, skills, certifications, location, availability, and other professional details you choose to provide.
  • Verification documents: Retirement credentials, pension records, or other documentation used solely to confirm retired law enforcement status.
  • Customer business information: Company name, domain, address, states of operation, and payment details processed by our payment processors.
  • Usage and technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and actions taken on the Platform.
  • Communications: Messages, support requests, and other correspondence sent through or to the Platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Platform;
  • Verify retired law enforcement status for member accounts;
  • Match members with relevant customer opportunities;
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • Communicate with you about your account, opportunities, and updates;
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security issues;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. What We Do Not Do With Your Information

LE ONLY does not sell member personal information. We do not use member personal information for targeted advertising, and we do not use verification documents for any purpose other than confirming retired law enforcement status. We do not use member data to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, and we do not share member information with data brokers or marketing platforms.

5. How We Share Your Information

We only share personal information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your consent: When you choose to respond to a customer opportunity, the information you decide to share is disclosed to that customer.
  • Service providers: We use trusted third-party vendors (such as hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and security providers) to process personal information solely on our behalf. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes, except as required or permitted by their agreements with us or applicable law.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

6. Member Privacy by Default

Member profiles are designed to protect your identity. LE ONLY will not disclose a member’s name, email, phone number, exact address, or verification documents to an employer unless the member affirmatively chooses to do so. Until that choice is made, employers may see only the information a member has chosen to make visible, such as general location, skills, and experience summary.

7. Verification Documents

Verification documents are reviewed by LE ONLY's verification team, which is led by retired law enforcement professionals. Access is restricted to personnel who need it to perform verification, and all access is logged. These documents are never shared with employers, other members, or outside parties except as required by law.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

Verification documents are retained only as long as needed to complete verification. Within 30 days of a verification decision, we delete the underlying documents and retain only the verification outcome and date.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or update your personal information;
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@leonly.org.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for reporting suspected unauthorized access.

11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, understand usage, and improve your experience. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, but some features of the Platform may not function properly.

12. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Platform or by email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
